Nov.5, 2013 - Kyocera Corporation today announced the launch of a 70 megawatt (MW) solar power plant in Kagoshima Prefecture, southern Japan. The Kagoshima Nanatsujima Mega Solar Power Plant went online on November 1 and is being operated by a special purpose company established by Kyocera and six other companies to sell the electricity to a local utility under Japan's feed-in-tariff (FIT) program. An inauguration ceremony was held on November 4. -

The solar project participates in the LIPA Clean Solar Initiative Feed-In Tariff (FIT) Program. Dynamic Energy provided full turnkey services, including engineering, procurement and construction. -

Nov. 5, 2013 - Canadian Solar today announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, Canadian Solar Solutions Inc. ("Canadian Solar Solutions"), has selected ABB Inc. and its consortium partner Bondfield Construction Company Limited ("Bondfield"), to supply a 100 megawatt (MW) turnkey solar photovoltaic ("PV") power plant for the previously announced Grand Renewable Energy Project in cooperation with Samsung Renewable Energy Inc. ("Samsung") and Connor Clark & Lunn Infrastructure. -

November 4, 2013 – The Managing Board of SMA Solar Technology AG lowers the sales and earnings forecast for the fiscal year 2013. The amended forecast predicts sales of €0.9 billion to €1.0 billion for the SMA Group. In addition, the Managing Board expects a loss of €80 million to €90 million. Previously, the SMA Managing Board expected sales of €0.9 billion to €1.3 billion and in the best case scenario to break even before one-time items in 2013. The reasons for amending the forecast are the decline in the European markets, which was stronger than expected, and the resulting negative sales and earnings of the Medium Power Solutions division as well as the ongoing restructuring of Zeversolar. -

SunPower收购Greenbotics, Inc.
Nov. 4, 2013 - SunPower Corp. today announced that it has acquired Greenbotics, Inc., a Davis, Calif.-based company. With this acquisition, SunPower expands its energy services portfolio for global customers with the SunPower Oasis Power Plant product, especially in markets with challenging dirt and dust environments. SunPower expects to utilize the robotic technology and the Greenbotics team in conjunction with other product development and large-scale solar field installation projects. -

The Korean investors include Hanwha Q CELLS Korea, which is also a consortium member, and the Financial Investment Trusts managed by Shinhan BNP Paribas Asset Management. -
