NLAB Solar has been granted a 60 MSEK loan by the Swedish Energy Agency (Energimyndigheten) to develop and demonstrate the industrial production of its new solar cell technology. The Swedish company has secured financing for the construction of one of the world's largest production facilities of Grätzel cells, the third generation of solar cells. -

12月3日，明阳风电集团瑞德兴阳光伏公司与甘肃省嘉峪关市签订550兆瓦高倍聚光光伏发电项目。据悉，嘉西光伏产业园550兆瓦高倍聚光光伏发电项目位于嘉峪关嘉西光伏产业园内，概算总投资约78亿元。场址一总面积约4.5平方公里，预计规划装机容量150兆瓦；场址二总面积约15平方公里，预计规划装机容量400兆瓦，总体规划开发装机规模合计约550兆瓦。 -

On December 4th, 2012, Blue Oak Energy announced that it has installed Arizona's largest rooftop solar system. The 4.1 megawatt solar rooftop system is located at First Solar's facility in Mesa and is expected to begin operation by year end. -

City of Hanford and Chevron Energy Solutions today announced completion of a transformative solar program expected to reduce energy costs at the city's wastewater treatment plant and save more than $7 million over the program's life. The installation uses a one-megawatt ground-mounted single-axis solar tracking system, which automatically positions solar panels towards the sun. -

Solar Frontier has received orders from Mitsui & Co., Ltd., and its partners for 92,000 CIS thin-film modules for use in utility-scale solar projects throughout Japan. Totalling 14.1MW, these CIS modules will be installed in four projects, starting with Yamanashi Mega-Solar (provisional name) in Kai City and Nirasaki City, Yamanashi Prefecture (total: 10.3MW). -
